The Leggett Unified School District's Safety Plan is up for review by the school board at the next board meeting. The current draft is attached here for your review. Feel free to send feedback to amber@leggett.k12.ca.us. The Comprehensive Safety Plan is also available to review in its paper version in the office for the next week. After we have taken all comments and made corrections, the final draft will be accepted by the Site Council and presented to the School Board at the February 8th meeting. Thank you very much.

Good afternoon Panther families, We will be sending students home due to a power outage at the school, Buses will run as normal please be available to pick up your kids. Any questions please contact the school at 707-925-6230.
Do you want to be more involved in your local school? Do you have GREAT ideas that we need to hear about? Site Council NEEDS you and your energy. We will meet once a month, and the meeting time and format will be decided by the group once we have assembled.
Some of the things we will be looking at are:
Ways to increase parental input and involvement in school. Specifically we need to start collecting parent input in a sustained and meaningful way. How do we do that?
School communication plans and programs - how can we communicate better?
Address student social and emotional needs - what are some things that we can do as a school to help improve student social and emotional health?
What else do we need to think about? You all know, so come and tell us! :)

Tomorrow, Friday December 16th, will be an EARLY RELEASE day! School will get out at 1:00pm and the buses will run on the early release schedule. Dr. Ritchley says, "Happy Holidays!".

Students are coming home with permission slips to see a movie in Ukiah on Friday, Dec. 9th. Grades K-8 will see Disney's Strange World and grades 9-12 will need permission (if they are under age 18) to see Violent Night with an R rating.
